Knorr Taste Quest. "A Cooking show to look out for"

For all the enthusiatic and talented cooks, the new year just might bring a whole lot of good fortune and happiness. Knorr, the renowned tastemaker from the stables of Unilever brings this new cooking show "The Knorr Taste Quest." Airing this January, on some TV stations across the country, 20 contestants compete for the grand prize of 1 Million naira, a brand new car and a whole lot of other consolation prizes and of course bragging rights as the best cooks in the country. Wouldn't it be nice to always know where your food is coming from, be it from the earth or a farm 1000 miles from you? Well, in my case, i had to look no further than my momma's farm for the turkey on the table during the holidays after spending about 6 months being fed and primped the lil darling was fit for a feast. A lovely Christmas

Its been a whirlwind fiesta. This season has brought closer to home the importance of having great friends and family you can count on and also the importance of sharing a meal and being thankful. From fruit cakes to savoury meats its been a delicious, tummy filling blast. So as we await the new year, lets raise our glasses to the strong bonds from this year and the prospects of a greater bounty in the year ahead.

A Fab Fab Christmas Countdown

Its a super duper, lovely aroma in the air, heavenly music blaring seven days to Christmas. Even though this signals the end of another year and a reminder of another year gone by, i still have a childlike enthusiasm for the season. So am dusting my pans and getting ready for that sinfully rich Christmas fruity fruit cake with a little bit of brandy.Yummy!

A new day, a new dawn!

Woke up today to a craving for fried Yam slices and Ata sauce. So of course its time to hit the burner.

Of course this leads me to remember my baked jacket potatoes with some heavy scrumptious dressing and avocado garnish.
